The Journal MVZ Córdoba is an open access international scientific journal financed and edited by the University of Córdoba (Colombia). The journal publishes quarterly, continuously in PDF, XML, Epub, original articles, literature reviews, brief communications and clinical cases, peer-reviewed (double-blind) in Spanish and English, which are related to the agricultural and veterinary sciences. The journal is directed to natural and legal persons of veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, public health, epidemiology, aquaculture, biology, basic biomedical sciences and biotechnology and constitutes a space for academic and scientific discussion around the work of professionals in Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics. Mission

Timely publish peer-reviewed veterinary science articles. The journal will ensure that the highest ethical standards of scientific publication are maintained and will promote global interdisciplinary cooperation in veterinary research.

Presentation

The Journal MVZ Córdoba is an international open access scientific journal, financed and edited by the University of Córdoba (Colombia). It is published quarterly in Spanish and English, in continuous mode, original articles, brief communications, clinical cases and literature reviews in PDF, XML, HTML, Audio and Epub formats; double-blind peer-reviewed. The magazine constitutes a space for academic and scientific discussion around the work of researchers and professionals in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry.

Scope

The Journal MVZ Córdoba is an international open access scientific journal financed and edited by the University of Córdoba (Colombia) and has been published uninterruptedly since 1994. Its objective is to disseminate scientific research results and update knowledge on topics related to veterinary sciences and that correspond to veterinary medicine, zootechnics, aquaculture, biology, biotechnology, basic biomedical sciences, public health. Accepts original contributions from authors around the world in Spanish and English. All manuscripts are submitted to peer review (double blind). It is an electronic publication, published continuously every four months in PDF, XML, HTML and Epub formats. Videos, animation and 3D sequences are also accepted.

The journal is open access and follows the Open Access initiative to transmit knowledge free of charge to readers and authors, without charges for article processing.

Manuscripts of purely regional importance, as well as studies of non-domestic species, will only be considered if they have importance for the scientific community. Manuscripts reporting novel studies with substantial importance to new knowledge are preferred.

The journal publishes original articles, short communications, clinical cases and literature reviews (by invitation) on 10 main areas of veterinary sciences.

The Journal MVZ Córdoba adheres to the guidelines established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) (www.icmje.org), by Equator Network (http://www.equator-network.org/), by World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) (http://www.wame.org/), by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (http://publicationethics.org/) and by the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) (https://oaspa.org/) to guarantee the quality of scientific publications, their transparency, integrity and due safeguarding of the ethical principles that govern research.

The Journal MVZ Córdoba supports the policies for registration of clinical trials of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), since it recognizes the importance of these initiatives for international registration and dissemination. of information about clinical studies, in open access. As a result, since 2007, the journal MVZ Córdoba only publishes clinical research articles that have received an identification number in one of the Clinical Trial Registries validated by the criteria established by WHO and ICMJE, whose addresses are available in the ICMJE website. The identification number is recorded at the end of the summary.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides an open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge. This means that users can read, download, store, print, search, index and link to the full texts of this magazine. It is allowed to distribute the different articles in the post-print and official versions, without previous permission of the author or editor, considering that the end of this does not imply commercial purposes, nor the generation of derivative works; Only the mention of the source as well as the authorship of the work is requested.

Costs

The Journal MVZ Córdoba, does not charge for submitting the articles, nor for the publication of the same to the authors.

Antiplagio

Universidad de Córdoba is a member of CrossCheck by iThenticate. iThenticate is a plagiarism detection service that verifies the originality of the content sent before publication. The iThenticate software checks the presentations of millions of published research documents, documents on the web and other relevant sources. Each manuscript sent to the Journal MVZ Cordoba will be verified. In this process, iThenticate provides us with a list of similarity reports (a) the percentage of similarity resulting from the words counted and (b) the marking of the various sections, expressions or terms that were found in other documents. The decision of whether a manuscript should or should not be rejected due to fraud is in the editor.

 

Digital and archival preservation

Journal MVZ Córdoba is committed to the long-term preservation, restoration, and recovery of its contents, which is why it has established a preservation policy for its digital files that includes the following measures:

  • Electronic and physical backups
  • Digital preservation metadata
  • Periodic file integrity checks
  • Monitoring of the technological environment to foresee possible migrations of obsolete formats or software.
  • Copy to the institutional repository.
  • Assignment of DOI to each article

Journal MVZ Córdoba uses Open Journal Systems (OJS) as an editorial management system, which provides the PKP-PN (PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)) tool that allows you to preserve your contents using the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS preservation services.

The files published on this website are available in easily reproducible formats (PDF, HTML and XML-JATS).
