1st. Latin American Congress One Health & One Welfare 2023
The 1st Latin American Congress One Health & One Welfare 2023, held at the Convention Center in the city of Montería, on November 22, 23 and 24, consolidated itself as an international benchmark, bringing together more than 850 participants from more than 20 countries and Colombia, highlighting the relevance and global scope of the topics addressed under the One Health approach in the interconnection that exists between the health of people, animals, plants and the environment. The event developed by the One Health Colombia network of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the University of Córdoba was coordinated by the Veterinary Zootechnician, PhD. Juan Carlos Carrascal Velásquez. The congress managed to attract more than 50 national and international expert speakers, and world leaders from the One Health Latin American, Iberian and Caribbean Network OHLAIC, the World Horse Welfare International Program of England and the One Health Lessons Program of the USA, among others, who shared their perspectives and experiences, generating an enriching dialogue that transcended borders and disciplines. The event not only fostered interconnection among participants, but also promoted the establishment of strategic alliances and the identification of key areas for future research and public policies around One Health.
